Doggie Fancy Dress (primarily judged on the dog's fancy dress but if the owner/handler joins in too so much the better)

PLEASE NOTE; Fancy Dress will be the first class judged in the show

the order of the following classes may be subject to change although 'Judge's Pet', 'Osgathorpe TOP DOG' & 'Best in Show' will be the final 3 classes of the afternoon.

Best Trick

Waggiest Tail

6 'Best' legs (most attractive or hairiest - could be similarity between dog's & owner's legs or the shortest, longest......)

"Treat Resistor " (the most self control in resisting the treat for the longest time. Judge will start with a biscuit. However it may be necessary to introduce other treats or resort to 'temptation tactics' to break a stalemate!)

Best Look-A-Like (this can be dog most like a famous person, their owner, cartoon character or even another animal, an object - ANYTHING... other than claiming a Poodle looks like a Poodle etc.!)

Most Unusual Feature (could be the most pathetic expression, appealing eyes, expressive face, interesting ears, sitting in an unusual way - all refer to dog NOT owner!)

Cutest dog (not necessarily a reflection of beauty but something about the dog which would prompt a big 'Aahhh')

Junior handler (under 8) -

Junior handler (8 - 14) - to show proficiency in walking the dog & giving simple commands

PLEASE NOTE: If there are insufficient entries on the day 'Junior Handler' may need to be combined into 1 class up to 14

Best Pair (matching pair, unlikely 'Twins', oldster & youngster...)

Most Handsome Dog (boy)

Prettiest Bitch

'Champ Sausage Catcher' (dogs will be in the ring one at a time & the handler throws the sausage from a set distance. The 'Champ' will be the dog who catches it without fumbling & with the most style & panache!)

Best Veteran (dog not owner!) over 7 & up to 12 years old

Golden Oldie - as special recognition for dogs more than 12 years old

Best "In Betweenie!" (over 1 year old but less than 7)

Puppy Class (under 12 months)

Best Rescue Dog (dogs that have had a 'false start' in life or hit a rocky patch in their early days deserve a special recognition)

Osgathorpe TOP DOG (this class limited to dogs residing in the 'Parish of Osgathorpe')
